Call for Papers
The focus of this conference is on the future of Middle Eastern and Islamic diaspora communities around the world. Paper proposals will be grouped under, but not restricted to, the following broad categories:
- The State of Diaspora Studies: Foundations and Forecasts
- Diasporic Identities: Construction, Reconstruction, and Beyond
- Past, Present, and Future Diasporas: The Visible vs. Invisible
- Diverse Diasporas: Transient, Permanent, and Undetermined
- Gender Relations in the Diaspora: Problems and Prospects
- Literatures, Arts, and Films in the Diaspora: Continuity or Change
- Diaspora and Terrorism: Cells, Funds, and Attitudes
Panel proposals are also welcome.
